Winter Whoopsies by Gibson - 500  10/23/13
Featuring a hilarious winter scene, the puzzle shows what happens as the numerous characters bump into each other as they race down the snowy hill. A grandad is rescued from the cracked ice on the lake and a man flies through the air on a pair of skis, terrified of the approaching freezing water. Children laugh as they go at great speeds on their sleigh.  Fun and fast one.
Melodious Garden - Bits and Pieces 1000
Ruth's Christmas present from Suzanne.  Lovely colors and relaxing scene.  We were zenned out by it's completion.  Starting with the edge, then the inner border we were able to complete the rim without too much trouble.

Moon Myths - Douglas Trumbull - 500
Another of Lisa's puzzles and she will help us with this one. It is a rare vintage puzzle from 1968 and is selling on Ebay for $75.....whoa! Suzanne and Ruth finished sorting and were undecided (but not bickering....such adults we are!) about who would do the edge and who would do the border until one held the bags of pieces behind them and the other chose right or left hand.

Spicy Hot - Springbok 500
Thanks to cousin, Sharon, we had great fun with salsas named Wet Fart, Sphincter Shrinker and Slap Your Mama, to name a few. One of the Company officers had SO much fun (Puzzle Fairy out of control), the other got in only on the tail end of completion. We may have to make some revisions to the Corporate Rules and Regs.
Garden Goodies - Springbok 1000
When Suzanne was sorting she groaned that the berries, tomatoes and pepper pieces all looked the same and Ruth piped up that red was her color and had dibs on them......dummy!

Dusty
All help in the ways they can.
Dusty solves the empty box puzzle.
Bead Tray by Cobble Hill - 1000
Suzanne's birthday present. Because it is her birthday, Ruth is doing it Suzanne's way.....that is to work the edge LAST!!! We sorted (sort of) the pieces and are doing "homework" which isn't easy if you don't have the picture. We had a great time finishing it.
Doughnuts by Cobble Hill -1000
Ruth's birthday present.  Ruth's childhood friend, Carol, helped us.  It was a lot more puzzling that it looks because there were several doughnuts that had similar pieces.  The BAD thing was that we each gained three pounds while working on it.  Carol did a fine job on the edges.  Because it was a new puzzle we couldn't use the excuse that the piece we were hunting might be missing.
Sun, Tower, Aeroplane by Robert Delaunay - 450
Thanks, Lisa, for this puzzle.  Bright lovely colors.  It was a little puzzling, however, to end up with two EXTRA pieces and missing two other pieces.  We kept trying to fit them in somewhere until the very end when Suzanne found they were duplicates.
Elegant Eggs by Springbok - 500 11/8/13
Thank you, Christine, for this beautiful puzzle.  Chris brought a suitcase full of wrapped puzzle gifts for each day she and her dad were here.  This one was quite the challenge but loads of fun.   We had to pick up a piece, find it on the box and then place it because so many pieces looked alike.
Scrumptious - 500
We each gained three pounds working on this one.  Good thing it was only 500 pieces or we would really have been in trouble.
Sew What? by Rose Art - 1000 11/1/13
This very colorful picture was a lot harder than we thought it would be and a lot of fun though the pieces were all normally shaped.  And just two pieces were missing.....not bad for a thrift store purchase.
Monteverde Clous Forest Preserve by Charley Harper - 1000
This lovely puzzle promotes the preserve in Costa Rica and was sent to us by our new Wisconsin Chapter. Thank you, Marge!  It has brilliant colors, beautiful birds, and in the middle depicts the sacred quetzal, a stunning endangered bird. We kept finding animals, eyes, and other quirky things hidden in the picture.  But we are missing one piece......look on the floor, Marge.
One Hundred Horses and One Red Shoe by Ceaco - 750
We take turns choosing the next project. Suzanne said "Where did we get this one?" Ruth said "I gave it to you for Christmas!"  So the "Super Sorter" sorted, sort of, by quadrant.  Ruth thought it was an impossible task.  Can you find the red shoe?  We ended up missing ONE piece....NEW puzzle....hmmmm.  Ruth blamed it on Kurt who moved the puzzle and he then blamed it on Dusty who blamed it on Peanut, the dog.
Puzzle Update:  After a week the missing piece was FOUND!  Where?  Under the puzzle table next to a leg.  We are still shaking our heads because Suzanne and Ruth both crawled on their hands and knees looking for it.  Then we completed another puzzle and kept picking up dropped pieces without seeing this one.  We think there is mischief afoot.  How could we have missed it finding it???  Hmm.....
