Fire Dragon by F. X. Schmid
My darling niece, Christine, who lives in frigid Minnesota sent me THREE of the most difficult puzzles I have even seen for my birthday. This beautiful one is over three feet long and is dragon shaped!  It was so difficult to break up and put back in the box because it was so gorgeous. Whenever we have trouble finding a certain piece we use the excuse that maybe it is missing.  We said that a lot on this one but NOT SO!

Bev Doolittle's "The Earth is My Mother" - 750
My wonderful, lovely, delightful niece, Christine, who heads the Minnesota chapter of P. F. Inc. sent us this amazing puzzle....ALL the pieces look just alike!  However, instead of verifying all the pieces were there by WORKING the puzzle.....she COUNTED them!! I think the corporate office should look into that division to make sure they are truly doing their job, not sloughing off and not taking the easy way out......although counting 750 pieces IS a piece of work!  Bev Doolittle's use of camouflage conveys messages about wilderness, wildlife and Native American culture. It is simply beautiful. I made this picture really large so you could see how intricate it is.  This was so much fun!
Lionel Trains - Springbok 1500
This BIG puzzle filled up our largest board and had really unusual shaped pieces.  And only one piece was missing.   We checked the floor, chair cushions, blamed Dusty, but knew it was NOT between our houses.  We learned THAT lesson.  This wasn't as easy as it looks.

Penguins at the Beach by Susan Sturgill - 550+ 8/20/13
We had SO MUCH FUN with this one. These silly penguins are doing all sorts of crazy things such as playing cards, roasting fish, picnicking and doing a LOT of drinking. We laugh and laugh with each piece.

Sorting was a real challenge.....water.....umbrellas.....and that's about it. It is similar to our FAV puzzle artist, Jan Van Haasteren. This was a real find at the Humane Society thrift store for just ONE DOLLAR!
Sandy's Country Store by Sandy Rusinko - 1000  2/7/14
Now that the puzzle room is set up in the sun room at the Sorta Sorter's house, she seems to be doing most of the sorting....so the Super Sorter better not complain!   This was was easy, fast and enjoyable.
Fresh Fruits and Vegetables by Colorluxe - 1000
Another quick and fun puzzle.  Can't remember where we got it though.
Dice - Casse Tete by Hoyle - 1000
This looks like a nightmare but don't think it was that hard.  But then my memory is half an inch long.

Love of My Life by Tricia Reilly Mathews - 1000
This puzzle almost caused a corporate meltdown. Ruth has wanted to do this puzzle for a long time and Susanne kept saying NO! She hated the flower wallpaper, flower dress and brown door. Ruth insists it is a RED door. Anyway, a compromise was met. Suzanne sorted all the pieces and then left to go to a family reunion in Wisconsin and Ruth had to finish it before she got back. And it all worked out.....whew!
Times Square, New York by Buffalo Games - 750
Fairly easy, fun one.  It was over three feet long so had to use BIG board.
Crafts & Hobbies by Colin Thompson - 1000
Bright, colorful and fun to do.  Lots of sorting though.
Lunch Boxes by Lois B. Sutton - 1000
The Super Sorter aka Suzanne did all the sorting into lunchboxes. She handed pieces she couldn't identify to Ruth who bleary-eyed tried to find where it belonged on the box. All in all, a sorting nightmare! However, once we started putting it together it was piece of cake.....a one day work.
