P. F. Inc. Sedona, Arizona
Fish Stix is right! Look at these crazy shapes! Today we spent the afternoon drinking margaritas and working on the fish. SUCH FUN!!!
FishStix by Judy Haas - 500
A package came in the mail from Christine, who heads the P. F. Inc. Minnesota Chapter. Suzanne & Ruth are big fish fans and we thought this puzzle would be a lot of fun. THEN we opened the box! The pieces are CRAZY! Suzanne said she would sort if I finished the horse puzzle.....ya sure!
Tropical Colors by Visual Echo - 500
Our first 3D puzzle and it was from Christine. OH MY!! I got all googly-eyed attempting to sorta sort it. The colors were wonderful but each of us attempted to make the other look up a piece on the box.....you do it.....NO.....you do it. It was great fun BUT a real challenge and it made us more than a little cross-eyed.
Crow Ponies by Judy Larson - 1026
Grumble, whine, whose choice was this, shall we put it back in the box? The problem is that pieces SEEM to fit together very nicely BUT they are the wrong pieces. We had to hold many, many connections up to the light and then still find they are wrong. Even the edge pieces have been fitted then moved and refitted and still we weren't sure.
Holiday Glitter Sweet Christmas by Master Pieces - 500
Ruth's Christmas present from Suzanne. Didn't we all get this kind of candy when we were kids? It is a toughie but Suz better not complain as it was her doing! It is pretty much pick up a piece, hold the box to your nose and search, and hope something works. We finally completed it without each gaining five pounds. A miracle!
Keeping Out the Cold by Michael Herring - 1000
This one looks pretty easy, right? Not so much! Most of the pieces were rather fuzzy and it took a lot longer than we thought. Ruth opted for the red colors and Suzanne did a fine job on the tree and the weeds at the bottom. All the tree pieces looked just the same.
Balloon Festival by Dowdle - 500
Bright colors, fun subject....what more could we want? It was easy and fun.
Pirates of the Carabbean by Photomosaics - 300
Suzanne did this puzzle when she was in Washington. We really enjoy doing the Photomosaics ones.
Peacock and Birds by Hasbro - 1500
The surrounding birds were no problem. The peacock was a hair ripper-outer! We managed to get MOST of it completed before Suzanne left for Alaska. And there were only two missing pieces.
Matterhorn Art 31968 by Clemontoni - 1500
Suzanne kept poo-pooing this one so while she is in Alaska, Ruth is working on it and FEARS it may be akin to the HORRIBLE horse puzzle that we took apart and put back together five times. But SHHHH......that's a secret from Suzanne. It will be a surprise for her....lol
Maggie the Messmaker by Charles Wysocki - 2000
This is the largest puzzle we have ever done - 38.5 by 26.5 inches. We had the dining room table filled with pieces so had to set up a card table and jack up the legs to make it the same height as another table and puzzling took up the whole dining room area. Good thing Kurt was in Alaska. Sorting took forever and so did the completing BUT it was fun. We decided that 2000 pieces and this size was just TOO big.
