The Dog Show by Jan Van Haasteren - 1500
Suzanne is the "Super Sorter" and Ruth is the "Sorta Sorter". Sorting this puzzle is a puzzle in itself! Okay, the red carpet is easy but then you have ALL these people and ALL these dogs. The best part about sorting the pieces is that you get to look at all the details on the box.....and laugh....and laugh....and laugh. At this point the Super Sorter hasn't seen how the Sorta Sorter has sorted. We shall see if there is a corporate reprimand and someone gets demoted and maybe loses sorting privileges .....hmmm not a bad idea according to the Sorta Sorter. But wait.....the Sorta Sorter has physical possession of the puzzle and that makes her the CEO in CHARGE! Maybe she can delegate the sorting procedure.

Jan Van Haasteren Puzzles

These puzzles were SO FUN they deserve a page of their own.  Jan van Haasteren has been producing jigsaw puzzles for several decades and there are over 90 puzzles in the collection.  The sharks fin is featured in every single one of his puzzles. But you can also look out for some of his other favourites such as; Saint Nicholas, the hands, the dentures and Jan's self-portrait which can be found in nearly all of his illustrations.
Flea Market - Crowd Pleasers Jan Van Haasteren 1000
Our first Crowd Pleaser puzzle and we giggled our way through it. We highly recommend any of Van Haasteren's puzzles......prepare to laugh a lot!
The Farm - Jan Van Haasteren 1000
Suzanne's 2012 Christmas present from Ruth. The antics of the farm visitors and the expressions on their faces kept us laughing. Insane happenings....like the shark in the grass, the expressions on people and even the cows, not to mention the potato happenings.
Safari by Jan Van Haasteren - 500 Started 10/4/13
This puzzle was SO FUN but it almost caused difugalties at at the usually serene P. F. Inc. One of the CEO's was out of town for two of the days after it was started. That left the other CEO whining, sputtering "unfair", and wallowing in the throes of withdrawals. She had a difficult time keeping her hands off working on and finishing the puzzle and was forced to resort to SUPER SUPER SORTING!!! She sorted not just the animals, vehicles, water, trees, grass but even sorted the people as to which direction they were facing! Sadly it sounds like "someone" has a super addiction. I don't think the corporation has funds for this kind of pricey rehab.
Deep Sea Fun - Jan Van Haasteren 1000   6/20/13
The situations and the facial expressions on these puzzles kept us giggling through the entire production. There is a fish with a foot....a couple getting married by Neptune....a diver getting stuck in the butt by a swordfish. It was exhausting because we didn't want to stop working on it.
Craziness  abounds, as usual, in Jan's puzzles.  Niece, Christine, from Minnesota's chapter of P. F. Inc. helped work on this.  She brought a suitcase full of puzzles and gifted them daily while she was here.  P. F. Inc. now has a wonderful supply of fun ahead.  As always we laugh and giggle over the absurdness of these puzzles and have a ball putting them  together.
Football + Poster by Jan van Haasteren - 750
Another hilarious puzzle .... see the horse hitting the policeman in the head with an "expulsion".  There is also a guy taking a whiz on the sidelines, a convict running with a soccer ball attache to his leg, and much more ridiculousness happening.  We laugh our way through his puzzles.  Such fun!!
The Playground by Jan van Haasteren - 1000
Ruth, the "sorta sorter" sorted by a pile of blue, yellow, pink, and a leaf pile and turned over all the rest of the pieces.

Suzanne, the "super sorter" sorted while Ruth was gone (she didn't want to hear any wisecracks) like this: Faces facing right, faces facing left, faces facing center, hands & feet, grass & building materials, and clothing.

Ruth snorted "I do not have those type of sorting genes in my DNA."
Friday the 13th by Jan van Haasteren - 1000
As you can see, EVERYTHING is going wrong for everyone in this puzzle. We had so much fun that we finished it in one day with lots of laughs and chuckles. Ruth's method of sorting worked pretty good......pink building, white building, purple & red cars and different sizes of bricks.  AND the Super Sorter didn't whine or complain a bit!
Football by Jan Van Haasteren - 500
We took a much needed break from the horrid Pine "Cone - Fusion" puzzle and got some much needed laughs.

Carnival by Jan Van Haasteren - 1000
After toiling a whole month on the awful pine cones, we needed something to make us laugh.   While it was at Suzanne's house the Puzzle Fairy went berserk and it was finished in two days with many chuckles and laughs.
Fun Around the Pool by Jan Van Haasteren - 750
This one was absolutely CRAZY!  Our favorite was the lady on the bottom who lost her bra to the little kid.   We laughed a LOT over this one.

Football + Poster by Jan van Haasteren -1000
This is the last of the three football puzzles.  Most of the usual characters are here including Santa, the shark, well two sharks, and loads of ridiculously silly fun.   AND there were no nippled elbows either!
We LOVE you Jan.

Clash of Bakers by Jan Van Haasteren - 1000
Silly, fun...fun...fun.  We LOVE Jan's puzzles and are always laughing and showing each other silly pieces.

On Thin Ice by Jan Van Haasteren - 1000
Oh my.....laughs a plenty which is the usual when we are doing Jan's puzzles.  The silliness just never ends and we always try to figure out which fella is Jan!  Sometimes we can't tell the men from some of the women.
Ballroom Dancing by Jan Van Haasteren - 1000
Lots of laughs here by all the wacky things going on.  Jan is our favorite puzzle maker.  Wish we could afford to buy all his works.
